CHARACTER SPRITES:

See character.png for examples.  They have a 32x24 restriction and there should be 3 sprites for each direction (12 per character).  SA Tails is making fox, hedgehog, and echidna bases.

BATTLE SPRITES:

Required for playables only.  See template.png for size restrictions.  Each animation is 3 frames.

The animations in the other battle png files are examples.  Try to keep new human sprites at a similar scale.  Sonic Battle sprites will probably be used for animal chars, so try to match that scale for animals.

Sailor Roja's battle sprite sheets are a good example of what kinds of animations are needed.  The list is below.  It's also possible to add nonstandard animations for any specific technique or weapon type.
